Connecting Through A Firewall:
You may have what is called a 'firewall' - no, it is not necessary to hose down your computer to put the fire out.
A 'firewall' means a computer is connected to an institute or government workplace or you have Norton Personal Firewall , Zone Labs - Zone alarm , Windows Firewall in Windows XP Service Pack 2 and there are many others.  If you do have one installed make sure it is configured to allow FirstClass through on port 510.

Norton Firewall Problem
A. Open Norton Internet security;
        a. click Personal firewall. On the bottom right hand corner click "configure".
        b. scroll down to Fcc 32.exe and change setting to "permit all".

Routinely Disconnected While Using Wireless Internet:
Since CHATT has a built-in instant messaging client, CHATT requires a continuous uninterupted internet connection to remain active. This is often problematic when using wireless internet due to the nature of the protocol. Please follow the tips here to improve your wireless home network: 10 Tips For Improving Your Wireless Network
Also make sure that you are running the latest version of the client. If you haven't updated your client recently you should go to the CHATT webpage and reinstall just to be sure you are running the latest version.
Check CHATT's Network Protocol If All Other Tips Above Fail:

1) On the Login window click "Advanced"
