Volunteering at Clarksdale Public School

As this year comes to a close I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who took the time and effort to volunteer; without you we would not have been able to successfully run all of the events and activities we have throughout this year!

Parents, Guardians and Families as School Volunteers
Please consider volunteering your time, knowledge and abilities at your child's school!  There are many different ways that you can be involved in your child's education and volunteering at school can be a meaningful one.  Research shows that what the family does to support a child's learning is more important to student success than almost any other factor.
There are many ways you can volunteer and make a difference at Clarksdale – help the teachers in the classroom, school field trips, community events like Darksdale and Fun Fair, monthly pizza and movie nights and fundraising.  For a complete listing of volunteer opportunities and descriptions for each, please download the Clarksdale Volunteer Brochure.

As a first step, fill out the Clarksdale Volunteer Interest Form if you are interested in volunteering. Please check off the areas of interest to you and drop off the completed form to the school office.

All volunteers are required to provide a recent Policy Record Check, a Vulnerable Sector Screening and sign a Confidentiality Form.  Vulnerable Sector Screening forms are available in the office.  This is a requirement of the Halton Board of Education.

For more information, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Josie Thomson, Volunteer Coordinator, at hannahsmom@sympatico.ca.
