Aldershot Learning Resources

As Head of the Learning Resources department at Aldershot School, I am responsible to support the learning needs of all grade 9 to 12 students who have been formally identified through the Individual Placement and Review Committee (IPRC) process. In reality, we offer our support to any student who is struggling to find success at Aldershot. We can offer support in many ways and are happy to work with students, parents and teachers to find strategies that will allow each student to reach their potential as a learner. Our resource room (125) is a safe place to come to work quietly, finish homerk, use a computer or just get some help, of any kind. We are actively promoting the use of assistive technology and differentiated instruction, while fostering self-advocacy skills in our students as they work to become independent learners.
