NEW ZEALAND TOUR ALDERSHOT

MARCH 8-19, 2012

THURSDAY, MARCH 8TH, DAY 1

Meet at Pearson Airport terminal  1 at 7:00am

Meet your contact supervisor and receive your  packet

Meet with your group leaders and head to the kiosk to for your electronic ticket

You will proceed to the baggage counters as a group and will proceed to US customs

Once you are through the baggage inspection you will meet with your group leader and proceed to your departure gate

Depart Pearson Airport at  10:00am

Arrive at San Francisco Airport at  12:40pm  

Meet with tour coach bus at 1:30pm

2.5 hour tour of San Francisco

Arrive back at terminal at 4:00pm  

Depart San Francisco at 7:00pm

SATURDAY, MARCH 10th,   DAY 2 (LOSE A DAY)

Arrive in Auckland at 5:00am

Go through customs with your contact group

Make sure you have given you passport to your group leaders

Bus pick up  area at the front of the airport at 6:30am

Load Buses and depart at 7:00am

Proceed to Titirangi for breakfast at 7:40am

Depart for Piha at 8:30am

Stop at Waitekere Visitors Centre environmental  tour and lookout

Rainforest hike to Kitekiti Falls at 9:45am

Lunch and swim at Piha at 11:30 noon

Depart for Glenfield College at  1:30pm

Rugby Work out and Coaches Clinic at Glenfield College at 2:45pm

Meet billets at 4:45pm

Return with billets/ bed time at 5:15pm

Possible professional Rugby game on that evening

SUNDAY, MARCH 11TH,  DAY 3

Rise and Shine at 6:45am

Teachers meeting at 7:30am

Meet bus at Glenfield College at 8:30am

Depart for Waitomo

Stop at Hamilton supermarket at 10:00am (3br, 3lu, 2dr)

Check in at Waitomo Holiday park at 1:30PM

Waitomo caves boat tour at 3:00pm

Dinner at the Holiday Park

Night time glowworm walk at 8:00pm

Lights out at 10:30

MONDAY, MARCH 12TH, DAY 4  

Rise and Shine at 6:45am

Teachers meeting at 7:30am

Depart for Haihei, Coromandal at 8:00am

Stop at Thames for morning tea and shop at 10:30am

Arrive at Seabreeze Holiday Park at 12:00am

Check into Accommodation

Lunch at Seabreeze

Afternoon swim at Haihei beach when everyone is ready

Return for Dinner at Holiday Park  at 5:30 pm

Free time and optional activities. Possible return to Hahei for sunset walk

Bedtime 10:30pm

TUESDAY, MARCH 13th, DAY 5

Rise and shine at 8:00am/ breakfast

Depart for ferry landing at 9:45 am

Boat and snorkel trip at 10:30am

Return to Hahai beach for lunch and swim and optional hike to Cathedral Cove

Afternoon at the beach and possible trip to Hot Water Beach at 3:00pm

Return to Seaview and get ready of dinner trip

Depart for ferry landing at 5:30

Dinner in Whitianga and beach walk

Return home/bedtime at 10:00pm

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14TH, DAY 6

Rise and Shine at 8:00am  Note: must bring Rugby gear ready to go

Possible Visit hot water beach at 9:30am

Depart for Auckland at 10:30am

Stop for Hurua Falls visit and lunch   

Arrive at Auckland school at 2:15pm

Rugby 7’s or touch tournament at Glenfield College

Shared meal at college

7:00pm return to billets

Bedtime at 10:00pm

THURSDAY, MARCH 15TH, DAY 7

Rise and shine at  6:00am

Load up buses by 7:00am

Depart by bus for Auckland Airport

Arrive at terminal at 8:00 am

Depart Auckland Domestic Terminal at 10:00am

Arrive at Queenstown at 11:50am

Meet the bus at airport and proceed to Te Anau at  12:15pm

Arrive at Te Anau at 3:15 pm.  Check into Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park

Grocery pick up and shopping in Te Anau (2 din, 3 br, 2lu)

Dinner and free time at Lakeview

Bedtime at 10:30

FRIDAY, MARCH 16TH, DAY 8

Rise and Shine at 6:45 am

Bus pick up at 7:40 am

Depart for Milford Sound at 7:45am

Meet at the Red Boat pier for boat cruise at 11:00am

Return to Te Anau at 1:00pm

Dinner at Te Anau at 5:30

Free evening and Bedtime at 11:00pm

SATURDAY, MARCH 17TH, DAY 9

Rise and shine 7:30am

Bus pick up at 9:00am

Depart for Queenstown

Arrive at Pinewood Resort at 11;00

Short shopping time until we meet at pier at 1:30

Depart by boat for Walter’s farm at 2:00pm

Return from Walter Peak farm at 5:00pm

Get ready of dinner

Cable car ride and team dinner at 7:30pm

Bedtime at 11:00pm

SUNDAY, MARCH 18TH , DAY 10

Rise and shine at 9:00am (sleep in)

Pack up for trip back to Auckland

Depart Pinewood by bus for airport at 10:00am

Return to Auckland by plane at 12:20pm

Arrive in Auckland 2:00

Depart in vans for Glenfield

Meet billet and head home

Join billet families for an evening at Waitomo Thermal Resort

Bedtime at 11:00 pm

MONDAY, MARCH 19ST , DAY 11

Rise and shine 7:30am

Pick up students and luggage at Glenfield

Downtown tour of Auckland (Kelly Tarleton’s, Museum, Queen’s St)

Depart for Auckland airport at 2:40pm

Depart Auckland for LAX at 6:15pm

MONDAY, MARCH 19TH, DAY 12 (GAIN A DAY)

Arrive in Los Angeles at 10:30am

Long wait to go through customs

Collect your baggage and proceed upstairs to departure gate

Depart for Toronto at 3:15pm

Arrive at Pearson Airport, terminal 1 at 10:48 pm

Proceed to baggage pick up and go through customs

Meet you parents who have missed you

Meals Out (individual expense)

Day 3:  Breakfast snack at Titirangi, $10

Day 6:  Whitianga dinner: $20

Day 7:          Skyride and Team dinner at Queenston: 50.00 (pre-paid)
