The PEAK Program






Learner Profile:

The PEAK (Partnering Empowerment & Knowledge) Program is available to students aged 16 to 21 years of age. This program is appropriate for students who want to develop or complete the following:
  • Complete their O.S.S.D.
  • Improve attendance record.
  • Build strong support systems and mentorships.
  • Develop effective time management/organizational skills.
  • Enhance self-esteem and belonging.
  • Earn both compulsory & elective credits.
  • Explore hidden leadership abilities.
        
Description of Program:
The P.E.A.K Program is a 10-week, 2-credit transition program provided to students new to Gary Allan High School.  This program will help students orient themselves to their new learning environment – with the focus being on earning credits, participation, engagement and retention – and ultimately SUCCESS!
  • The 2 credits include:
  • Managing Personal Resources (HIP 3E)
  • English
  • Teacher led, group based instruction & independent learning
  • Develop personal management skills
  • Improve school success
  • Explore pathways and develop relationships

Exit Pathway:

Students completing The PEAK Program would have the option of transitioning into another Gary Allan High School program or back to their home school, based on their learning needs.
