I would like to welcome you to a new and exciting year of Grade 4 French.
I believe that every student can succeed in French. Students are encouraged to:
-participate actively
-maintain a positive attitude
-maintain an organized notebook
-come to class prepared for tests and presentations
-complete projects to the best of their ability
Students should bring their French duotang and notebook to every French period as well as a pen, pencil, ruler, colouring pencils, sharpener, scissors and a highlighter. In addition, students are being asked to purchase their own French-English dictionary which they will use again in grades 5 to 8.
If your child is absent from class, they are responsible to find out what work was missed. They may obtain missing worksheets from me upon return to class or they may have a student from their class collect it for them. Homework assignments will be posted on this web site as well as new unit vocabulary and grammar. Students should also record their homework in their planners prior to leaving class in order to ensure they understand what they are being asked to do and that they have the materials they need.
I encourage your child to see me for extra assistance if they ever feel they don't understand a concept that has been taught. Please don't hesitate to call me at school if you have any questions or concerns (905) 469-6119.
