VOLLEYBALL SEASON WRAP UP
Congratulations to our Senior Boys and Girls volleyball teams as they concluded their seasons last week in the All-Halton Championship Tournaments at E.C. Drury High School.  Our girls’ team settled for a top four finish in the region while our boys came from behind to win the Tier 2 Championship.  Thanks to the coaches, Mr. Stratford and Ms Noltie (girls) and Mr. Defrancesco, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Ringsell (boys) for committing the time to this program.

END OF DAY PICK UP
Each day at 3:30 p.m. we set up several pylons to designate a space for our daycare vans to park along the curb in the north side parking lot.  These vans are not allowed to use the school bus loading zone at the front of the school.  Please respect this parking lane as it assists in providing for the safety of all the children as they leave the school at the end of the day.

GIFT GIVING
Although teachers appreciate the thoughtfulness of a gift at Christmas time we ask you to consider making a donation on behalf of your child’s teacher to a charity of your choice.  If you would like to make a donation to the Halton Learning Foundation, please contact Mr. Clatworthy at the school.  Donations to the Learning Foundation support many students in Halton and as a school we have had several students benefit from the foundations generosity.  We recently received $3,000.00 to support our Numeracy initiatives at the school.  Tax receipts are available.

PIZZA DELIVERY CHANGES
We have been able to coordinate with 241 PIZZA to have pizza delivered in two shipments for term 2.  That will mean our grade 4-8 students will get hot pizza for their lunch that begins at 11:20 a.m.

HAWPS “BACKPACK” NOW ACTIVE
We have created a “backpack” on our website for teachers/staff to post forms, letters and class/grade newsletters when appropriate.  The “backpack” does not replace the paper copy students bring home but is intended to provide a convenient way for parents to access a form if “one goes missing.”  Each grade has its own “backpack” and there is one for whole school/large group activities as well.  Check it out below.
