Construction Update

We are almost there!
Our construction project is winding down and although we still have a few finishing touches to complete, the students are well-settled in their classrooms and enjoying the facilities.
The Grades 6 to 8 Music, French and Art rooms have been completed and stocked with teaching supplies.
During construction, some items were stored at the former Chisholm site, including smart boards, stage risers, gym equipment, reading materials, desks and the sound system.  These have all now been relocated to Maple Grove.   One final sweep of the school has yet to be done to ensure that banners and smaller items that remained on the walls will be brought to their new school home.
Our smart boards will soon be operational as our school is in the queue for Board electricians to properly install them.
There are still a few obvious signs that construction has not quite finished.  The pot-hole on the loop heading out of the school is being fixed and the construction fence will be dismantled.  The outside brick will soon be washed as well, to help it shed the dust that has accumulated.
One outstanding issue is receiving funding to paint and provide curtains for the original part of the school.  Rest assured that the school leadership team and the Board are well aware of this pressing need, and will continue to work toward having that work done.
If you have questions about the renovation, please do not hesitate to speak with Mrs. Dmytraszko.
