School Council, 2011-2012
Hello from the Maple Grove School Council.
Within this site you will find minutes from past meetings, a list of members and updates on Council activities. School Council is comprised of parents who have gone through a nomination process, plus the principal and teacher representatives. A new Council is nominated and elected each fall.
Our role is to support the entire school community, and in particular, our children, by doing such things as coordinating volunteer opportunities, fundraising for school-related expenses, and providing advice or support to our teachers and administrators, in support of the school’s academic goals.
If you have questions about Council or have a school-related issue you believe Council can help with, please feel free to contact either of our co-chairs, Bev Frost (bev.frost@sympatico.ca) or Lyanne Matcham (lmatcham@cogeco.ca), or Mrs. Dmytraszko (dmytraszkok@hdsb.ca), or attend a meeting. Meetings are open to all members of our school community and begin at 7 p.m.
