Thank you in advance for supporting our grade one classroom. Welcome to grade one at Ecole Pine Grove. I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach your children Language Arts, Mathematics, Drama and Computers this year. Our classroom is Room 6, near the end of the primary hallway. To contact me, you can drop a note in your child's agenda, email me at manna@hdsb.ca or call the school at (905) 844-6371. My website is designed to provide you with upcoming news and events, as well as information regarding the Grade One programme. All links to various subject areas are listed to the left of this page. My French partner, Madame Robichaud and I are looking forward to working together to provide your child a rewarding and memorable year in grade one. This week we will be handing out agendas. Please sign your child's agenda daily and always write a note telling how they are to get home if it is different from their normal daily routine. Perhaps also remind them before they leave for school in the morning. We look forward to having volunteers in our classrooms this year and Madame Robichaud and I will be sending out a letter asking parents to let us know dates and times they are available. We genuinely appreciate any parents who are able to work with our students in small groups, one on one, photocopy, cut and paste activities and assist in classroom centres. We do have severe peanut allergies in our school so please remember not to send any peanut products with your child. Also, there is no sharing of food at school. We encourage you to label all items of clothing and shoes. The school lost and found is always quite full. If your child has left something on the playground please remind them to check at the front of the school in the big lost and found box. We do have a classroom lost and found. I welcome the home and school partnership in grade one and I look forward to a wonderful year with your children. I will contact you if I have any concerns with your child's progress after our first month together. It does take some time to get to know each child and their abilities as we each only see them half a day. But please do not hesitate to call me at any time. Be sure to check our class website monthly for programme updates. *Pine Grove has a number of students with severe allergies. Please remember not to send any peanut products to school. Many thanks in advance for your support! Mrs. A. Mann :)
