Welcome to the New Central School Council Website
School Council meetings will take place the first Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the school gym. All parents and guardians of New Central students are welcome and encouraged to attend Council meetings. If you are unable to attend meetings, but would like to keep up-to-date on Council issues, please check the meeting minutes which will be posted on this website.


This website is designed to keep you informed of the work your Council is doing to support your child(ren)’s education at New Central. Please feel free to check back here regularly for Forms, Agendas and Minutes for our Monthly Meetings, updates on what Council is working on or contact information for Council Members.

Mission Statement
New Central School Council values reaching out to the school community to be
a voice for parents addressing school-wide issues. We support and promote a
balanced school life for our children that includes an emphasis on the arts,
sports, academics, eco-schools, and community involvement.


Our goals are to maintain open communication between Council, Administration, Teachers, the Community and the School Board; ensure stability in the teaching staff and the Administration; set fundraising goals at the beginning of the school year; maintain and create school traditions, events and spirit; maintain the physical appearance of the school; support the teachers' initiatives and co-ordinate ideas; strengthen the volunteer base; promote the school through brochures, websites, and open houses; and provide extra-curricular activities.
