Mandate:
To provide tech support for IRHS staff and students, to provide and operate audio and video technology for school events, and to ensure the continuous use of new technology in our school’s ever changing environment.

What We Do:
CommCo is a group of students lead by Alex, Jenny, Dave, Mitchell and Ms.Olmsted who are dedicated to providing IRHS with quality technological support. CommCo is responsible for the setup operation and tear down of all the audio video equipment required for school events. Past events we have provided support for include:

• Assemblies
• School dances
• Movies in the street
• Big bash
• Ridge stock
• Ryerson Exodus Fashion show
• Culture shock

This is only a small part of what CommCo does; we do many more events as well as help many staff and students with their technical problems. We maintain the school’s audio video equipment and have been consistently updating our inventory to include new technology for the purpose of enhancing our technical setups to improve the quality of school events.
We are always glad to help the staff and students of IRHS with their technical problems so everyone is free to come down and ask us questions, we will do our best to help you if we can. ComCo also provides tech support to our local community as well as local community events, some of the community events we have done in the past include:

• Relay for life
• Falgerwood’s Willy Wonka Play
• (other Misc community events that took place at IRHS)

CommCo also writes, films, edits and produces the IRHS CommCo Christmas video that is played at the pre winter break assembly.
We are always looking for new members interested in joining our group, you do not need to have a major technical background to be a part of what we do, we are happy to teach you how to use equipment so long as you keep an open mind, anyone may join CommCo at any time. Our meetings are on Wednesdays at 11:30 am in room 135, come out and see what we are all about!
