Aldershot A.C.E. Awards A school letter will be given to Grade 7 or 8 students according to the following criteria and process. Academic Achievement: The student ... ...has demosntrated a conscientious and enthusiastic approach to learning throughout the year. ...has consistently worked to his or her academic potential. ...has set goals and worked to achieve them. Citizenship The student... ...has demonstrated through words and actions consideration for the well being of others within the Aldershot School community. ...has willingly followed classroom and school rules and routines. ...has contributed positively to the school as a community. ...has represented Aldershot School well in the community. Extra-curricular The student... ...has been involved in some activities in the school. ...has contributed to the school beyond his or her participation in the classroom. Process 1.  The student will apply to his or her homeroom techer, explaining how he or she meets the criteria for the ACE Award in each category, using specific examples. Applications must be submitted to the homeroom teacher. 2.  At an elementary staff meeting, teachers will go through the applications and choose which ones meet the criteria.   3.  Students will receive their awards at the year-end grade seven awards assembly or the grade eight farewell celebration.
