MacMillan Youth Centre |
MacMillan Youth Centre is a unique eighteen bed facility which provides services for youth in open custody, open detention or in care of the Children's Aid Society. The School Program is a partnership between Transitions for Youth and the Halton District School Board. This partnership includes communication between CAS, probation officers, correctional youth workers, teachers, parents, social workers and counsellors. An individualized academic program is strength based and aims to promote literacy, numeracy, social skills and self-esteem. The ultimate goal is to ensure a smooth reintegration to the student's home school community.
