Welcome students and parents!
Grade 9 geography students should be aware that they need certain materials and supplies every day.
These materials are:
1) Pen and pencil
2) Ruler
3) Pencil crayons (minimum of 10 contrasting colours will be required)
4) 3-ring binder/notebook containing lined paper and several sheets of graph paper
The items listed above are necessary in order for students to be ready to complete in-class work and assignments/ homework. Please be sure to have these supplies in class each day.
ASSIGNMENTS/TESTS
Assignment #1: Map of Canada
Purpose: to review and reinforce knowledge of Canada's provinces, territories, capital cities, major bodies of water, etc.
Follow instructions provided on the assignment for colouring, labelling, etc. Rubric is included.
This assignment is due in class on Thursday, Feb. 9
Students should always take advantage of showing me their early attempts at assignments so mistakes or misunderstandings of instructions can be clarified. In this way students can get the highest mark possible when the work is evaluated.
